Participants in the online survey were requested before commencing the online audit survey to give their consent for the anonymised aggregated information derived from this online audit of pathological reporting practice to be used by the authors of this survey Dr David Poller & Dr Paul Matthews for discussion at meetings, and also consent for publication in peer reviewed journals or by other means of dissemination of this information including over the internet as the authors deem appropriate. Users of website were aware that the authors collect participants' names, e-mail addresses, postal addresses and IP address for administrative proposes only, and that in the event of publication of the online audit that the authors would every attempt to ensure anonymity of the participants in this online survey. The information derived from this survey may also be used in full or in part in publications and in products or by other publishers. This includes publication in English and in translation, in print, in electronic formats, and in any other formats that may be used, now and in the future
